Every day, 15 percent of what’s dumped in our landfills is food. And every night, restaurants are forced to throw away food because it won’t last until the next day. But now there’s a way to turn this throw-away food into take-away food. Last Call is a late night delivery service that helps restaurants avoid food waste while it helps you save money. The Last Call app opens at night, before closing time, so restaurants can list the fresh produce they have left to sell at discounted prices, before it has to be thrown away. Enter your delivery address. Browse the menu. Place your order. And click to pay.

Intelligent idea, clear design, useful.
Jury Statement
Winning the iF STUDENT DESIGN AWARD 2016 proves to us that design and positive change can go hand in hand, and that design has the power to truly make the world a better place. We hope to carry this with us as we pursue our careers. We're thrilled, and we have already started brainstorming ideas to make it to Hamburg!
