HIX Modular Chairs / Chairs

HIX Modular Chairs
HIX Modular Chairs

HIX is a stool for inside- and outdoor use. The hexagonal shape allows the modular stools to be placed in different configurations. HIX is made of recycled PET-strips, a material that is normally used for strapping wares to transport-pallets. After the wares are taken off the pallet, usually the PET-strips are waste material and are thrown away. With HIX, transport-companies can deposit their PET-strips for free. Then the material gets woven around a steel frame, creating an abstract stool that looks like new but has a recycled history.
