Pointer / smart smoke detector

Pointer
Pointer

This smoke detector not only warns you if there is a fire, it also shows the safest way out.
By using two lasers, arrows and maps can be projected in multiple zones to guide you out of the building.
The detector informs you about low battery by slowly decending from the ceiling and rising again when the battery is replaced. In the case of a false alarm, one can cancel the alarm with a smartphone using a preset mastercode or by giving the detector a gentle push on the bottom.
By using injection molded eco-plastics and simple deforming methods, the production costs are optimized and the materials recyclable.
