Jacklamp / Jacklamp

Jacklamp
Jacklamp

„Jacklamp“ is a minimalistic clamp luminaire which, due to an adapter, can be easily attached to tabletops with a diameter between 16 to 34 millimeter without leaving any traces.
Its body is made of transparent polycarbonate bordered in electrographic carbon which is conducting the power to a LEDluminary of the EDC GmbH. The form of the body was inspired by the ornaments on the LED-Disk.
Both light and solid at the same time it is creating the optical effect of holding the luminary nearly weightlessly. This effect is being reinforced in the darkness due to the refractioned light in the polycarbonate body.
A functional model has been built
