Midpoint / shoe lace

Midpoint

Lacing is a very common thing. At the beginning, in order to ensure both sides are of equal length, we will repeatedly pull the end of the laces to check whether both sides are aligned. Is there any more intuitive or simple way? Of course there is one simple method: you only need to mark a point at the midpoint of the shoelace, then the problem can be solved.
