Half Escalator

Existing escalator is divided into 2 parts. One is for going up and the other is for going down, which makes the escalator spend energy in the 2 parts independently. Half escalator would be able to save the set-up, power usage and maintenance cost by up to 50% compared to existing one. It would be also an innovative invention that needs fewer stairs because the two parts are linked and turn on a pivot. By using the horizontal axis rotation, Half Escalator would be able to save the set-up, power usage and maintenance cost by up to 50% compared to existing one that uses vertical axis rotation.
