It is a cup which helps prevent a beverage from cooling down due to loss of heat especially when taken outdoors. The liquid sodium acetate contained on the inside walls of this cup releases heat when impacted, like a drinkers clench, to start a chemical reaction and solidification of the acetate which in turn emits heat back into the beverage. This process can be repeated quite simply as a new hot beverage poured into the cup will initially emit heat directly into the Sodium Acetate, de solidifying it ready to be once again used to transfer heat back into the liquid that rejuvenated its function.
