How do you usually compare two different maps?
This project is aimed answer the research question using a multi-sensory interface. Tangible Topography is a digital media interface which allows a user to compare multi-layered data using sound, touch and vision. In this example. a user can feel the annual air pollution data in the U.S. in 2010 by touching the topography and perceive the other dimension by looking at the screen. A user can listen to the name of the place they are touching.Microsoft’s kinect was installed on the ceiling to read the hand gestures of the users.
