Side-Rocking Lounge / Rocking Lounge

Side-Rocking Lounge
Side-Rocking Lounge

Side-Rocking Lounge is developed under the theme of "Body and Mind" in a collaboration with Herman Miller and Pratt Institute for 2012 ICFF.
This rocking lounge chair is designed to support napping. The idea started from stressful modern lifestyle, how people have limited time to rest themselves in their daily lives.
Side- Rocking Lounge allows you to naturally transfer your posture between lounge-sitting and lying-down by rolling sideways. It feels safer and more comfortable to lean our bodies to the side than backwards. The gentle rocking motion would also work like a cradle for adults, to calm you down and to refresh your mind.
