Floating
Floating

An old house represent the memories that we all carry with us. Because of the rapid growth of urbanization, many important historical structures have been demolished, de-structured, and relocated in Taipei. Through the remains of a ruined house’s characteristics and décor, the figure of a man ever lived is formed and fashioned; the man’s soul, floating in time, is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, and primeval. In a way, we are all floating, suspended between belief and unbelief. This work indicates that a non-realistic existence may portray a true reality and reply to the elusive and convoluted connections within memories, time, and space.
