Discipline: Communication

The German-Israeli Society requested a unique and distinctive design for the whole organization, which schmitt. kommunikation created for the logo and corporate design, including their website. schmitt. kommunikation focused on finding a simple and clear symbol, which would stand out without seeming political or inane. What could be more appropriate than uniting the two emblems of Germany and Israel and reducing them to create a timeless logo? What’s more, by reducing the design, the mutual relationships between Germany and Israel are perfectly symbolized; the logo also works when mirrored. And this was precisely our intention – to pictorially represent Israel and Germany as a partnership. The logo is embossed on printed papers and therefore works on both the front and back of this stationery. The embossing also gives the cards a stylish and very special surface feel. The design of the executive stationery is, like the logo, considerably reduced and simple in order not to visually overshadow the central issue, namely the relations between Israel and Germany, and to appeal to the tastes of the more than 5,000 members.
