COLOUR ONE for MINI by Scholten & Baijings, presented at the Salone del Mobile 2012, explores the world of a car in the area between objective facts and imaginative vision. The installation investigates the composition of a car down to the smallest details and analyses the process of design. Stefan Scholten and Carole Baijings set about deconstructing the MINI One, which embodies all the hallmark attributes and aspects of MINI design. They stripped the MINI One layer by layer and extracted the essence of every component.
