Campaign

Do you think when one is HIV infected it is one’s own fault? Do you think you can get HIV from kissing? What if it’s close to you, for instance at your work? The issue “HIV” is for many a reason to look the other way. Taboo and stigma predominate. The successful anti-stigma campaign “Hoe positief ben jij?” (“How positive are you?”) was launched. Shocking figures were converted to make an overwhelming difference in knowledge and attitudes. It is almost inevitable to look the other way. The Aids Fonds has a unique Dutch approach that ensures this issue remains high on the agenda, finances research, provides prevention and treatment for anyone affected by HIV and AIDS.
