Discipline: Professional Concept

A Gentle Tug is a blind stick which shifts the weight of the stick to tug users away from obstacles, thus naturally avoid the impending object. A Gentle Tug used “Stereo-Vision-Collision-Avoidance-System” technology developed by the Automotive Research and Testing Center (ARTC) in Taiwan to construct a virtual image of the approaching space. “Stereo-Vision-Collision-Avoidance-System” technology only requires two sensor cameras to recognize road environment and detect obstacles. Processed information is transferred to users’ smart phone application informing user how to reach his or her destination.
